Madhwa Premier League 2018

This year's MPL was held on Madhwa Hostel. The team has been categorized into 3 groups, having 11 players with 4 extra players in each team. Each team had to play 4 league matches consisting of 10 overs. The teams were Master  Blasters lead by Kiran S S, Power Players lead by Venkatesh Prasad and Leg Cutters lead by Vishwanath Bhat.

Team Leg Cutters Won the MPL TITLE by defeating Team Master Blasters in the Finals.

Thirteenth Event - Fancy Dress

One of the major events, Fancy Dress was held on the date 06.10.2018 on the Rajatotsava Vibhaga of Madhwa Hostel. The organizers started the event by remembering the names of Pandavas in Agnyatavas and British Establishment of Masks.

Twelveth Event - TDH

Twelveth event of the year, Tom, Dick and Harry or in short TDH had been held on the date, 10.04.2018 at 7.00PM. Two round event, has been organized by Sumanth, Akasrsh and Hemanth Sriram started the event by enlighting the Vidhura Neeti.

Eleventh Event - Mythology Quiz

The Mythology Quiz was held on 1.10.2018 at 7.00PM. The two round event consisting of Round 1, Common round and Round 2, Final Round was held. The organizers started the event by remebering 'Vidhura Neeti'.

Tenth Event - Drama

The tenth event of the year 2018-19 is held by the great deliverance of speech about drama by Venkatesh Prasad and Narasimha. The event was started for the night by remembering Gubbi Veranna and Master Hirannaiah.

The event is categorized into Brahma Purana which characterizes the Lord Krishna in the form of Brahma and tells the story of Him.

Ganesh Chaturti Celebration 2018

On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturti, the hostel students celebrated the festival with grand ceremony. The idol of Lord Ganesha was brought on September 13, 2018 and kept for three days. Hostel Dharmadikaari Karthik Achery worshiped the idol on First day, Sri Hari (2nd year) on Second day and Vadiraj Bijjur (3rd year) on Last day. On third day, i.e. on September 15, 2018 the idol was immersed on the well.

Ninth Event - Dancing

One of the major events of Madhwa Hostel, Dance had been held on 09.09.2018 at 10.00PM. The dancing event organized by Pradhyumna Bhat and Vishwanath Bhat started it after remembering the achievements of Sudha Chandran and Martha Graham.

Eighth Event - Creative Writing

The eighth event of the year 2018 was Creative Writing.The event was held by the organizers by remembering the name of Dick Fosbury. The single round event consisted of 8 pictures out of which one was chosen by the participants and write a page related to that image.

Seventh Event - Drawing

The drawing event of the year is held on 05.09.2018 at 9.00PM. The organizers started the event by remembering the achievements of Leonardo Da Vinci and Vilas Bhat in this field.
The event has been categorized under Agni Purana which deals with ritual worship, cosmology, history, warfare, and even sections on Sanskrit grammar, meter, law, medicine, and martial arts.

Krishna Janmashtami

The Krishna Jundanmashtami has been celebrated with Maha Pooja of Lord Krishna after chanting the Vishnu Sahasranama. Hostel Warden Shri Padmanaabha Warkedi did the rituals and gave the Pravachan on Lord Krishna's Birth and some of His teachings. Also Tulsi Pooja was done alongside Lord Krishna's Pooja. After the Mangalarati all the students took God's blessings and had a great feast (prasadam).
