On the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, words of wisdom were rendered by our dear warden. Many beautiful anecdotes were shared and we were enlightened by the real life implications of the holy Bhagavad Geeta. The Pooja was followed by delicious “Prasada”.

Madhwa Premier league......fever

MPL fever has caught the attention of madhwa hostel.The players were picked up and four teams-AVENGERS, SUICIDE SQUAD, X-MEN and IMMORTALS were formed.

The first match of the Madhwa Premier League 2016 went on well with the grace of god Varuna. The first match was between the SUICIDE SQUAD and the IMMORTALS.

2nd event – Sudoku

A much awaited event of numbers and letters had been organized on 16th august, 2016. The Sudoku given was challenging and interesting. 10 students were selected for the second round of the Sudoku puzzle event. The second round was innovative and asked for logical and critical thinking.

70th Independence Day celebration @ Madhwa Hostel

The 70^th Independence Day celebration was initiated by flag hoisting ceremony by Vasudev Bhat and Vasanth Kumar. The welcome speech was given by Venkatesh Gaonkar, who stressed on the importance of independence day.

Later, the “Swachchh Madhwa Andholan” was flagged off by the Mitravrindha.

1st event -Tian Zi Youxi

The events of Koole 2k17 kick-started with great enthusiasm, the first event being “Tian Zi Youxi” (crossword puzzles).

“Bhagavad Gita shows path to the lost, answer to the confused and wisdom to all.”

We have taken the initiative of starting each event with the summary on the significance of the 18 chapters of Bhagavad Gita.

Event Board Inauguration

India's languages are perhaps the most telling way that this is a country of countries. If we ever need a reminder of the diversity of India, we just have to look at our currency note. On the back of the note, we will find the value of the note in 15 languages, including English and Hindi.
Recognizing this,  2K17 has come up with the list of events(written in different languages) that would be conducted in the year 2016-17. Many hands were joined in making the event board and it was decided that we would try to do more with less!
The board was inaugurated by the event coordinators with lots of fun and fireworks!!

His Holiness Sri Vidyadeesha Teertha Swamiji visit to Madhwa hostel

The visit of Sri Sri Sri Vidyadheesha Sripadharu was a very fulfilling experience to the hostel mates.  Shri Shri Vidyadheesha Teertha is the thirtieth pontiff.  Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha was born in 1956 and accepted sanyasa from Sri Vibhudesha Teertha of Admar Math in 1979. He was a scholar par excellence. People from all walks of life were attracted towards him.

                   The day saw the hostelites rushing, finishing their daily chores of taking bath, offering prayer to god and having tiffin. We were eagerly waiting for the swamiji‘s arrival. All arrangements were done including the hostel cleaning, cleaning of the parking area which was allotted for the the cooking of the feast!

                     At about 10 15 am, swamiji arrived along with the disciples who started preparations for the “Rama Devara Pooja”. Swamiji was also accompanied by His holiness Ishapriya Teertha swamiji who performed   the pooja, which was followed by the delicious feast. The swamiji then rendered “AASHIRVACHANA”, which was followed by Mantrakshathe.

               We were truly blessed by the swamiji‘s visit who have taken us through the wonderful spiritual journey!
