13TH EVENT-Me´moire

“It all begins and ends in our mind. What we give power to, has power over us, if we allow it!


The memory game was conducted on 26th October 2016. The first round of the game included remembering and recollecting a collection of things arranged in the dining hall. The final rounds were very challenging and fun as it involved memorizing a set of tongue twisters and other funny things.

12TH EVENT- FACE PAINTING


“The experience is the real award”

The last week of October saw our special event, the face painting competition.This time, the theme was WOW! We asked them to express themselves and use their imagination, they listened and didn’t disappoint us. What a treat it was to see the creativity that had no boundaries.

10th EVENT- NRITHYA 2K16


"You don’t get what you wish for, You get what you work for!"


The hall was filled with continuous loop of music amongst the continuous cheering by the hostelites for the enthusiastic and energetic dancers. The Nrithya 2K16 was participated in large number, and the judges found it very difficult to choose the winners as the competition was very tight. The competition saw the blend of western style dance with the traditional dances of India, which was a feast to the audience.

11th EVENT-Sci-Tech Quiz—It’s definitely not Rocket Science!

“Mistakes are proof that you are trying”




The Sci-Tech quiz was conducted on 3rd October 2016. The first round of the quiz had a lot of thought provoking questions. The results were announced and the finalists were shortlisted. The final round had a lot of innovative rounds which were very informative and involving both to the audience and the finalists.

9TH EVENT-SINGING COMPETITION

“Why fit in when you were born to stand out”-Dr. Seuss

The singing competition was conducted on 29th September 2016, which was attended in large numbers. Many budding classical singers and bathroom singers sang the song of their heart. The karaoke was enchanting and the group singing teams gave an entertaining performance.

Tom, Dick & Harry is an event that tests the understanding between their team mates and presence of mind. The event started off with an excerpt of the 8th chapter of Bhagavad Gita by Ramakrishna. There was lot of tension and drama to win the prize.

7TH EVENT– THE ART OF THE FOLD – THE ORIGAMI

Origami is derived from ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper” which is the art of paper folding, often associated with Japanese culture. Origami began centuries ago in Japan, probably in religious ceremonies and as a pastime of Court nobles
The special event, Origami was conducted on 25th September 2016. The event demonstrated creativity and diversity and there was a lot of intricate work exhibited, like representational figures from nature to modular geometric forms.
