The Essay writing had been held on 30.08.2018 at 9.00PM. The event organizers started the event by saying a few words about R.K.Narayan and Poornachandra Tejaswi. The essay was held on English and Kannada.

Sri Raghavendra Swamy Aradhana

   In the evening of 28 August, 2018 we celebrated Sri Raghavendra Swamy Aradhana. The program begun with reciting Vishnusahasranaama and Raghavendra Stotra. After the pravachana, the aarti was performed by hostel warden, Padmanaaba Warakedi. The blessings of Shree Guru Raghavendra was taken.

Fourth Event - Pick and Speak

The fourth event of the year has been organized with the introduction of famous personality Nelson Mandela and his achievements.
The event is blessed with Rayara Aradhana.

RSS - Raksha Bandhana

    The Raashtriya Swayam Seva Sangha had visited Madhwa Hostel to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. The importance of raksha bandhan is told by RSS head, Krishnamurthy from JSS Law College. The inspirational speech for the youths of India is given by him. After a mind blowing speech from Ravinarayana Bhat, the boys celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying Raaki to each other.

Third Event - Cross Word

Third event of the year had been organized by Hemanth G and Vikas H on August 24, 2018. They started the event by saying the achievements of Belagere Krishna Shastry and Roger Squires in the field of crossword.
The crossword event had been categorized under Vamana Purana which glorifies Vishnu, Shiva and various Goddess of Hindus.

Second Event - QUIZ

Second event of the year, Science and Technology Quiz was held.

The event had begun with the story of contributors in quiz shows, N. Someshwara and Nicola Tesla.  

The Science and Technology Quiz had been categorized under Garuda Purana which tells the specific issues of Hindu philosophy connected with death, funeral rites and reincarnation.

First Event - SUDOKU

First event of the year 2018-19 has begun with SUDOKU.

The event organizers started the event by saying the major contributors of SUDOKU, about JOHN NASH and ALAN TURING.

The events has been categorized into 18 Maha-Puranas out of which Sudoku has been categorized as Vishnu Purana.

Vishnu Purana tells the story from creation of universe to beginning of Kali-Yuga.

Independence Day 2018

On the morning of 15th August 2018, the Madhwa Hostel boys gathered to hoist the tricolour and to sing the National Anthem.Our beloved hostel warden Sri. Padmanabha Varakhedi, graced the event with his presence. Anantha Padmanabha of 2nd Year gave a inspiring speech on this occasion.

Later the "Independence Day Cup" in volleyball game and a debate competition was held in the hostel. Their active participation ensured a competitive atmosphere and turned these events into success.

The Independence Day cup was won by Team Sukhdev.
The Debate Competition was won by Sanath and team.

The Best Speaker prize (Mein Kampf) was given to Kishore Bhat
