2nd Event - Sudoku

The second event of the year, Sudoku, was organized on 17^th of August, 2017. The organizers began the event by imparting the knowledge about the origin of Sudoku and its importance in day-to-day life. They also talked about the creator of Modern Sudoku, Howard Garns. The event consisted of two stages, with increasing order of difficulty.

Independence Day 2017

On the morning of 15th August 2017, the Madhwa Hostel boys gathered together to hoist the tricolour and to sing the National Anthem. Guests Sri. Vasanth Upadhyaya and Sri. Vasudev Rao along with Sri. Padmanabha Varakhedi, the warden of the hostel, graced the occasion. Koustubh Kulkarni of 3rd Year gave a heart touching speech on Independence Day.
Later, a debate competition was held in the hostel. The students were divided into four groups, namely, Vikrant, Virat, Vikramaditya and Vishal. Their active participation ensured a competitive atmosphere and turned this event into success.

Aradhana Mahotsava of Sri Raghavendra Swamaiji

 On the occasion of Raghavendra Swamiji's Aradhana, the Warden gave an enlightening talk about the life-history of the great saint Raghavendra Swamiji, on 11th, August  2017. The religious environment created in the hall was instrumental in lifting the spirits of the students.

1st Event- CROSSWORD

    The Crossword event, in both English and Kannada, was conducted on 10th August, 2017. The event kick-started with the organizers giving a brief history about the origin of crossword puzzles and further they spoke about the crossword veteran, A. N. Prahlad Rao. The students actively participated in large numbers.

His Holiness Sri Sri Vishwapriya Teertha Swamiji graces Madhwa Hostel with his presence

On the 13th of July, 2017, we felt privileged to have His Holiness, Sri Sri Vishwa Priya Theertha Swamiji in our hostel. He arrived at around eight in the evening, while we all waited to welcome Him and his assistants.
He delivered valuable discourses to inmates of the hostel, which has brought great inspiration for the youth to invest a few minutes in 'Nithya Karma' and also gave us an insight about the divine 'Gayathri Mantra'.
