The fourteenth event of the year,Mythology Quiz was organised on 5th of November 2017.The organizers gave a brief information about Indian Mythology which has a theory of cycles.

13th event-DRAMA
The thirteenth event of the year,Drama was organised on 31st of October 2017.The organizers gave a brief description about 'Rangayana',a theatre institute which was the brainchild of B.V Karanth. The twelth event of the year, Mega Mind was organised on 28th of October 2017. The organizers motivated the participants by letting them know about 'Human Computer' Shakunthala Devi.

9th Event-General Quiz
The ninth event of the year,General Quiz was organised on 4th of October 2017.The organizers started the event by giving a brief information about quiz and also some inspiring words about Elon Musk.The event was comprised of two rounds and everyone participated actively.

8th Event- Drawing
The eighth event of the year,Drawing, was organised on 26th of september 2017. Origin of art and its development was explained by the organizers. They also gave a informative life story of Abanindranath Tagore who was the principal artist and creator of "Indian Society of Oriental Art".

"WRITING IS THE PAINTING OF VOICE"
The seventh event of the year,Creative Writing was organised on 21st of september 2017. The organizers started the event by throwing light on the necessity of creative thinking in the competitive world.The participants were made to write creatively on one of the images shown by the organizers.

6th Event- Fancy Dress
The sixth event of the year, Fancy Dress, was organised on 19th of september 2017. This colorful event was begun by giving information about the origin of fancy dress and the way it is organized in the foreign counties. The participants came up with their creative ideas and showcased their talents. Our super seniors Sri Sharath and Shivaprasad were the judges.

Sri Krishna Janmastami 2017
On the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmastami we celebrated the day by pooja of Lord Sri Krishna and an informative talk about the importance of festival by warden.Our hostel committee members also joined us on this day.
5th Event- Mad Manager
The fifth event of the year,Mad Manager, was organised on 16th of september 2017. The talk about management skills and its requirement in social life was one of the highlights of the event.Also the organizers narrated the inspiring story of billionaire barber,Ramesh Babu. The super seniors Narayan Bhat,Gautham K T and Pannagendra were the judges.

4th Event- Extempore
The fourth event of the year, Extempore was organised on 2nd of September 2017. The organizers started the event with history of evolution of the languages and the communication.The super seniors, Pannagendra and Gautham K T were the judges for the event.

Ganesha Chaturthi 2017
A grand celebration of Ganesha Chaturthi was held at our hostel. The Ganesha idol was kept on 25th August and the regular pooja was performed for the next five days.The grand visarjana mahotsava was celebrated after the enlightened talk by warden.
3rd Event-Essay Writing
The third event of the year ,Essay, was organised on 22nd of August 2017. The event started with brief introduction about the evolution of essay and also about the importance of detailed writing.
The participants were allowed to write in any of the two languages-Kannada or English.

2nd Event - Sudoku
The second event of the year, Sudoku, was organized on 17th
of August, 2017. The organizers began the event by imparting the knowledge
about the origin of Sudoku and its importance in day-to-day life. They also
talked about the creator of Modern Sudoku, Howard Garns. The event consisted of two
stages, with increasing order of difficulty.

Independence Day 2017
On the morning of 15th August 2017, the Madhwa Hostel boys gathered together to hoist the tricolour and to sing the National Anthem. Guests Sri. Vasanth Upadhyaya and Sri. Vasudev Rao along with Sri. Padmanabha Varakhedi, the warden of the hostel, graced the occasion. Koustubh Kulkarni of 3rd Year gave a heart touching speech on Independence Day.
Later, a debate competition was held in the hostel. The students were divided into four groups, namely, Vikrant, Virat, Vikramaditya and Vishal. Their active participation ensured a competitive atmosphere and turned this event into success.
